Volkswagen went happy hardcore once again for the Wörthersee festival with the Amarok Power Concept. Rumor has it that the 5,000 watt DJ set can only play Scooter.

Summer is officially here, and what better to celebrate than by integrating a fully portable sound system into a custom Amarok pickup? Not to be confused with last year's Amarok Power concept, the new car comes with Dynamic Grey metallic paint with micro glass flakes, Gunmetal wing mirror covers and 22-inch alloys, and contrasting orange brake calipers and decals. Additional extras include bi-xenon headlights with chrome inserts and chrome-plated twin tail pipes.

Inside, the black and orange theme continues on with Nappa leather and Alcantara steering wheel, bucket seats and door trim, plus a bit of carbon fiber here and there. The seats are also decorated with laser-etched graphics.

The most important feature is in the back, though with one of "the loudest portable sound systems ever built." Here's what VW has to say about it to audiophiles:

The centrepiece of the DJ equipment is an Allen & Heath Xone:92, with Pioneer CDJ900NXS units used as input devices. Sound output comes via two VOID ACOUSTICS Impulse 3t speakers – designed specifically for Volkswagen's acclaimed pick-up. A similarly adapted VOID ACOUSTICS Stasys Xair subwoofer ensures that the Amarok Power can accurately reproduce exceptionally high frequencies with no distortion.

The VOID ACOUSTICS mycro 6-loudspeakers used as monitors have been integrated into dedicated functional sound boxes while the VOID ACOUSTICS loudspeakers are driven by amplifiers from MC². All of the individual components have been designed in such a way that when assembled they perfectly fill the cargo bed of the Amarok.

Good luck sleeping if you live close to Lake Wörthersee this weekend, because they going to start the summer with this one:
